Welcome to Anchor & Page Bookstore
Whether you found us online while hunting for your next cozy read or you are anxiously awaiting the moment you can step through the doors of our bookstore, we are so glad you’re here!
The Anchor & Page Bookstore was born out of a mission from God: to create a peaceful space for lovers of good, wholesome literature. In a world full of noise, we wanted to build a space where you never have to second-guess what’s inside the cover. Every single book on our shelves—from heart-pounding thrillers to sweeping romances—is hand-selected with care, guaranteed to deliver an incredible story without compromise.
Our name comes from Hebrews 6:19—“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.” To us, an anchor isn't just about heavy storms; it’s about stability, rest, and finding a safe place to land.
Beyond our love for books, we believe deeply in the beauty of local community and handmade craftsmanship. That’s why our shop will eventually feature a curated space filled with unique goods from local artisans, perfect for thoughtful gifts (or a little treat for yourself!).
From our digital book clubs and curated pre-order boxes to our future community hub—which will include a cozy DIY coffee bar and a dedicated meeting space for local writing groups, Bible studies, and book clubs, and hopefully even hosting author signings and events—everything we do is designed to foster connection.
How can you help?
This business model is going to take time, patience, and prayer. You can help not just by spreading the word but also by coming alongside us in prayer.
Meet the Owner: Jennifer Bryant
Jennifer (Jenn) Bryant was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas, and moved out to Leavenworth in 2018.
She is married to her best friend, Ian Bryant, and together they have five older teens!
Jennifer found her way back to God in February 2025 and has been striving to live for him in everything she does. When He told her she was to open a bookshop, she heavily questioned it, and he gave her a sign; literally on the side of the highway.
It's going to take time reaching the end goal: opening a brick-and-mortar in Leavenworth, but each step will be taken as it is given.
When not waiting for the next step, Jennifer loves writing. You can track her progress on Instagram as Briar Ashcroft @briarashcroftbooks
She also loves tending to her plants, enjoys doing macrame, watching UFC, spending time with God, being active at her church, and of course, diving into her never-ending TBR pile!
